What's the best strategy to preserve battery life apart from replacements.

Try to keep it from going low?
Keep it charging anytime possible? (At 100% it should use AC and not the battery for power...)

>>
>>55049870
yes you will have to replace the entire front panel assembly, as the digitizer (the cracked part) is fused to the display.

The part should cost you around 40 to 60 bucks, i suggest paying someone else to replace it for you.

You give them the part, and have them replace it for you. It's cheaper that way. It's really easy to mess up the super fragile ribbon cables if you have never done it before.

I took my new display assembly and broken nexus into a cellphone repair shop, and the can't-poo-in-loo indian charged me $35 to swap it out for me.

If i would have chosen to have him buy the part and replace it, it would have been $160 for the job, that's why i suggest you buy the part off ebay and take it into a repair place.

Or maybe you're a dextrous DIY kinda guy and have the skills needed to replace it yourself. I didn't have the required dexterity and patience to do it myself.

I'm considering buying Xperia Z3 compact. But I did a quick archive check on /g/ and it seems that it's kinda fragile - glass back and a flimsy 3.5 jack being most lamented. Can anyone, preferably unbiased, confirm or refute this? I dropped my L last month and I don't want to lose another phone that way.

Or if anyone has a tip on another phone that fits into 130mm x 65mm (thickness & screen size don't matter) that won't break as soon as it falls to the ground, I'll check it out. I'm currently using and old HTC Touch2 and I'm loving its size of 104x55.

What does /g/ think about Alcatel Flash Plus 2? 3GB variant will be released this June 20.

The audio jack is dodgy. Mine broke and so did my friend's. I just got a bluetooth headset so it doesn't matter now, but it's obviously a real issue.

It's a great phone otherwise, although I suppose the Z5 Compact is better now.

It means that it lacks some bands with your carrier. I don't know what bands does T-mobile use in NY. ultimately, you might not have reception on your phone.

The models are the same. theres also a 3GB RAM/32GB ROM version for an extra $30.

Thanks. I read something that T-Mobile is rolling out band 12 in NY which is not supported by that phone. But band 2 and 4 are supported...don't know exactly what it means though.

Is there another best bang for your buck option that uses all the bands as T-Mobile?

It has its own sorts of problems (spontaneously cracking back, easily scratched cam lens cover, overheating on light usage due to the dud processor etc.).

Unfortunately sony's just no longer an option; too many complaints about the same shit, over and over.

So everyone. This is a question that never gets answered, there are no YouTube videos on it, and clearly haven't found any information about it.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) exynos version and it's coming in the mail, I got it from ebay. Will Samsung Pay work with a T-Mobile sim card? In the description on eBay for the item, the seller said that it has Samsung Pay and that it will work. Here's a picture

-Decent cam, good battery, good screen (1080p), small bezels, excellent audio via headphones.
-3-4 / 16-128 GB, if only 16 GB, SD slot is obligatory.
-SoC performance should on the level of SD650/801/808.

-No full plastic toyphone.

I'm VERY sceptical towards chinkphones. Never had one, never imported anything from ricefields and shipping+taxes are a real pain in Jewmany.

A few days ago I posted in this general about my old moto x fucking up even after I factory reset. An anon suggested flashing to the factory image. I'm a total pleb when it comes to shit like this, I get frustrated not knowing what kernel and boot image means. But I nutted up and figures it out. It was kinda tricky cause I'm on a macbook and most tutorials were for windows. The first time I fucked up cause I was using the regular fastboot and not the mfastboot (which I later was actually osx-fastboot). Once I figured out where to put the files and what to enter in the cmd terminal, I just followed the steps. It's rebooting right now. Hopefully it comes to life and I never get that
'google play services has stopped" shit again.

So thanks to the anon that pointed me in the right direction.
