I love my Western Digital drive.
I've had it for 5 years, and it's almost constantly been running.
Never had a single problem.
Although, I think I'm due for an upgrade since the capacity is quite low.
Best drives thread?
I had a 1.5TB seagate last me almost 7 yrs. This drive was used in my server which stays on 24/7. Drive date code listed as 09/3/17. Failure date was early this year.
Yeah my western digital drive has been in use for about 6 months and I think it's shitting the bed. I can't be bothered to take a screenshot becuase my computer is currently running encredibly slowly.

My Barracuda after about 3 years. Never had a single hiccup, but now that the warranty's up we'll see about that.

Uncorrectable Sectors...not good!

Yep, but my backup game is strong, got a 3TB backup drive and soon will have an NAS.

Should get a RAID array.
>>55003444
I am, the NAS will have software RAID 6. Instead of backing up daily to a local drive, it'll be be backed up to a NAS in the laundry room.

RAID is not a backup xDDDD
Will live another 8 years.

I hope you have daily backups. Shit dies when you least expect it.
>be me, circa 2012
>RAID 5 array reported a failed drive, starts rebuilding
>a short while into rebuilding, the PC suddenly shuts off.
>try to reboot PC
>goes to black screen, couldn't get into bios, wouldn't even post
>all my shit is fucked up

Enjoy your botnet

That's right, but it really fucking sucks big ol' floppy cow dick when your primary HDD fails, and then your backup HDD fails at the same time.
Redundancy and backing up to multiple locations solves this issue.
