Also, one of the autocomplete results these guys were getting was "hillary clinton crisis" which if you actually search for that you get all the negative kinds of articles these guys are claiming are being hidden. One of the things google does is consolidate search terms by theme for things like autocomplete, that's why you don't just get every possible permutation of

I think what they are getting at here is just the things the autocomplete presents. If I read "hillary clinton crisis", I wouldn't get bad vibes about her.
But if you actually got those autocomplete results from typing "hillary clinton cri", it might be some under the hood setting we can't see. Maybe by searching to related terms you kind of "disable" the filter, and let google show you bad things about a person? I've checked "donald trump is ", and it didn't turn up any negative autocomplete results either. On yahoo it gave plenty, so it might not be biased after all.
