Who here fell for the Crunchbang Linux meme? How accessible would it be for me, a first time Linux user?
Would love to have a lightweight debian fork with such a minimalist aesthetic.
crunchbang is dead dude. it's forked in a few different directions, none with good names. one is "bunsen labs." there's really not much of a point though, op. you could achieve the exact same experience with Debian + openbox, copying over some of crunchbang's openbox xml config files files

What in the fuck is that?

Catdawg.
>>54963043
Yeah, but i don't want to fuck anything up.
for all that, i could just make my own distro.

what the fuck! It is!
wew

oh god why?

Please kill yourself.

Not OP, but I actually installed orig Crunchbang because I needed Wheezy. Works pretty well still.

it's true though. none of the forks will ever achieve the same sort of success of the parent project.

i don't know what you mean "for all that." it's like 30 minutes of fucking around if that. it's literally installing a few programs on the command line and copying over configuration files. do you need your hand held for everything you do?

when one eats does the other one poop it out?
>>54963569
you could do this, and just update from it i suppose, changing the repositories to newer ones as appropriate. at some point this will be a dumb idea. if it does what you want and need then cool, go with it

I can't, that would break many dependencies I need. The SiS GPU is the biggest offender in particular.
