Why? For me it's better, CrossBilateral (better than madVR Reconstruction) with SuperChromaRes (less ringing than madVR one) and better smoothmotion/fluidmotion. It has an amazing reclock algorithm built-in for perfect playback.
Furthermore madshi doesn't know how to make a gui, all his multiboxes are messed.
When people can't do anything but try to duplicate what you've created - in this situation that being MPC-HC in it's awesomeness - you know you've done something right.
MPC-HC doesn't try to be anything except what it actually is, while everybody else sure is trying fuck all hard to be what MPC-HC is.
Pay attention, stupid. You can't really improve or clone perfection.

Mpc-hc is just a silly directshow player just like windows media player. They included lavfilters recently so that's why it works out of the box.
MPDN is focused on image quality and has good upscalers and experimental video enhancers.

MadVR is merely a renderer with some upscaling and downscaling options.
MPDN is an extensible video player, which coincidentally also has all of those upscaling and downscaling options.
While the player itself is closed source, all of the extensions are open source.
