do marketers really browse /g/?
where's the proof besides post/thread screenshots?

whenever you see a thread about any product, check the archive, 9/10 times you'll find the same post with exact word + picture multiple times.

No, only trolls.

/g/ gets a lot of tech-nerd traffic. Post here are "anonymous". Companies are savvy when it comes to social media sites like /g/. While there is no proof, and likely won't be any time soon, it isn't difficult to imagine guerrilla marketing happening here constantly. Especially in the last 3 to 4 years, which happens to coincide with the downfall of /g/.

This. It's not proof of it being marketers, but it is proof of shilling.
Of course it could be any reason for the shilling but Marketers are the only one with a real incentive though.
Marketers use this site as their platform really often. Take Windows 10 threads. As soon as one thread ended, another one started. And it went on for days.
>Free update
>Even pirated copies
So why are you faggots not on the Best OS in the world?
Shit like that, for a whole fucking month.
It's burned in my memory. The marketing worked. A lot of people grabbed it on an OP recommendation on the tech board. That Pajeet must have made mad Rupees
CSG has a bunch of gearbest shills :(
