Cheap-ass bastard thread. Post your preferred method of aquiring hardware for dirt cheap and/or free (legally, of course).
Been doing some eBay shit lately and got some decent ultrabook-lite for $180 CDN and an all-in-one for $180 CDN. Also a refurb lelnovo with an SSD for $130 CDN. And some custom PC with an i3 and somewhat fucked RAM slots for $100 CDN.

Does using pi 3 counts?
>>54892160
As far as I can tell, it cost $50 before tax here in Canada. Which is pretty bruital considering what you get.
>>54892201
Which is around 35 bucks in USD, practically the RRP for the pi 3
>>54892313
What do you use it for?
I made a camera lens this week, is it tech?

I don't have pic yet, but I also have a raspi 2.
Without box, laying on the ground because it's cooler than a wooden desk, powered by my router's USB port.

So much cheap shit. Got my monitors (Dell e228wfp) for $60 each incl. shipping.
The true king of cheap hardware is thinkpads though.
Local state thrift store distribution hub.
>dude who runs the computer store inside lets me in the back to their pallet full of shit for recycle
>anything I want $5 flat no matter what it is
>tfw core 2 hardware is finally hitting thrift stores and recyclers in bulk
I've saved a ton of good shit from the crusher, best was a Dell Precision T7400 with dual 3 GHz Xeon Quads and 8 GB of RAM, coolest was probably an SGI Visual Workstation 540.

I don't have one. I had a zero lying around (shit was like 5 bucks so what the hell). Tried to use it as a shitposting machine for shit and giggles but I got bored afterwards(besides it couldn't play webm files afaik)
