Don't you need 4 pin fan connectors to do that though? Ie you're limited by your MoBo in terms of how many controllable fans you can have?

Sentry 3 in your pic is a meme.

Get a Sentry mix 2 or another analog one. They are perfectly fine if you use more than 4 case fans like myself. I use a mix 2 because of having 6 fans like this

Let's say I'm doing something separate from the OP.

Do they sell single fan controllers? Think 12V, low amperage. Probably in the area of <.1A

I'd like to see if they made a miniaturized PCB that you can just mount somewhere with a screw or double sided tape.

Perfect for your gaymen case and Honda Civic obsession.
>>
Swiftech 8-way PWM splitter is the optimal way. Costs about $15. Have all of your fans thermally controlled and never need to fiddle with knobs. Control your RPM curves with Speedfan or bios.
>>
>>54884995
It's an enormous fan shaped like a swan boat paddle.

They call it a "blower" because it's intended to be somewhat heavy duty. They have high static pressure and high CFM, meaning it doesn't give a shit about your crappy cable management. As a consequence it can be loud as fuck.

The end result, according to the product page, is that you have a single massive intake fan.

Of course you then come to realize that you don't actually need more than one or two case fans running at an acceptable RPM.
>>
Varies with usage.
Easier for me to physically lean over and turn a knob than to set up varying fan curves that depend on ambients, my noise preferences and hardware duty.
That and my mobo doesn't have 14 headers, nor am I going to daisy them all up on a mobo header.

>My fan controller tells me my velocity
>>
>>54884768
I have that one OP. It works decent but the problem is that the LED screen is FUCKING ANNOYING especially if you leave the PC on over night. I also have a few other very heavy duty controllers that can handle 100w per channel and have 4 channels. I used to do a lot of liquid cooling and would have up to 6 fans on a single channel. Technically I could have all 14 fans and both my pumps on a single dial.
>>
>>54885129
I see no velocity.
Am I missing a joke?
>>54885139
>100wpc
You sure about that?
400wpc potential on a MOLEX?
>>
>>54884871
There are 4 fan ports on my motherboard, one of them is locked to full power. I have 8 fans (three in, three out, two for the CPU)

If I have to spend money to power more fans anyways I would rather have control over the speed than simple 7v/12v plugs. Typically from 70% to 100% you get 1-2C decrease in temps at load, so its not worth it to run them full. As well, some of my fans have rather low minimum voltage and so 7v would be noticably loud when i dont need it.

>>54885155
>am I missing the joke

Yes

i have a door over my drive bays so it would matter about the leds. also why i dont really want to try nobs because they may stop the door from closing

The one I had required 2 Molex and a single BERG connector. My best one I had that wasn't absolute garbage though was pic related. NZXT Sentry mix. 30w per channel. 6 channels.

im actually considering getting this piece of shit because it would add some airflow in the spot i need it

have a top mounted psu with a side fan instead of a top one so the drive bay would channel the air right into it

dont think ill be able to close my front case door though
>>
>>54885287
Careful about how you think air will flow.
>>
>>54885129
>Velocity
It's speed, retard.
>>
>>54885318
>Speed
Incorrect.
>>
>>54885315
what is there to consider exactly? there is nowhere for it to go but down (or across) and if it did it would just be more cool air for cpu and ram
>>
>>54885217
Dont cheap out and get the sentry mesh either or you'll have a colony of bees in your PC.
A channel can blow when you cross the wires even on low power, I find that unacceptable, fans can generate a decent backcurrent
>>
>>54885347
Indeed, but air does not flow straight, it's very turbulent in this case and will simply waft everywhere.

I've never seen a beneficial blower fan in a case unless it sorely, sorely needs the flow.
>>
>>54885438
In his case I believe a 200mm side panel intake should be the correct solution.
It's the only direct choice when the PSU cannot be self contained.

OP might have to cut out the hole himself, but the benefits would be more direct coverage than a front blower and much, much quieter
Just don't forget to measure twice and buy a filter.
>>
>>54885494
Check the CFM rates for blowers. We don't need static pressure as much with case fans.

>>
>>54885508
The CFM is great but not needed. PC air is a vacuum system, if the in>out is balanced it's complimentary.

A large side-panel fan can be directed more vitally and directly cover more components, it would be more beneficial than a blower lasering a column of air into hard surfaces and making shit tons of counterflow.

A 200mm can also do 100CFM much quieter than a blower.
