Modern German and French get their words from the same root languages as English. English does not get the general germanic/dutch style from German, it gets the style from the language that German came from. Likewise for the deeper relationship between English and French.
The Japanese, Chinese (not a language), Indian (not a language) words you're talking about must be load words, which aren't really English words. Obviously there are German and French loan words in English as well, but English is a language in its own right and not merely a collection of non-english words.

Except that it isn't, 25% of English vocab comes straight from French, there's hardly anything 'real' or 'original' about English, which is only Germanic at its core, to the point it hardly even resembles a proper Germanic language such as Dutch, German or the Nordic ones.
