I wish one of these goddammned "review" sites would post some fucking CUDA performance on the new cards. I just want to blender shit and premiere pro mercury shit. Should I be buying a 1070? an old 980ti? fuuuuuuuuuck
>>
I think it depends on how much memory you need. I doubt anything that doesn't use CUDA 8 features will see a noticeable difference between a 1070 and a 980 Ti.

>getting GTX gaymershit for CUDA
Have you ever thought there's a reason that no reviews for their CUDA performance exist?
>>
>>54850072
They were done fairly thoroughly on Kepler cards but not as much on Maxwell, since Maxwell compute was gimped.
>>
Their gaming cards have gimped CUDA performance since the 700 series.

Well... there's the added bonus that I can finally play GTAV with my anime texture mods with 8GB of VRAM.

>>54850072
I don't want to spend a brazillian dollars for a card.

Careful might get zika
>>
>>54850207
well I don't want that
>>
Have you checked the official CUDA forums?

wat?

Google "CUDA Forums" and ask there someone is bound to own one already.

More than 2x pref than 980

ask here.

Hmm... Doesn't look promising:
"The new line (1070/1080) has : Reduced memory bandwidth, reduced memory bit width, and less cuda cores than the 980ti/titanX.
Also, as I understand it, DDR5x has increased random access latency over DDR5?"
>>
>>54850765
I don't think the 1070 has GDDR5x it has regular GDDR5
>>
>>54850025
Want a good CUDA card, find a used Titan (Non-X, Non-Z) since the doubleprecision do help A LOT.
>>
>>54850911
Will that be much better than the 1070?
