So, when Chrome came out in 2008, I dumped Firefox for it, and have used it as my only browser since.
Fast forward to a few months ago, I bought a MacBook. Decided to try Safari because Chrome raped my battery life.
Safari is actually a pretty good browser. It's standards-compliant, is good on battery life, and it even has extensions. I can live with it.
I never thought that'd be the case. Why is it so surprisingly usable?

I won't be using it until it gets WEBM support, and even then, Chrome's dev tools are just so vastly superior.

OP here. Don't care about WEBM support at all. It can go die in a fire.
Although, Safari does lose points because it can't handle Mega.nz's crypto-wizardy. And it doesn't have Flash either, which I *do* occasionally need to use.
The lack of bookmark and tab favicons also makes me mad. But I've been sucking Apple's dick, and Apple is starting to convince me favicons are for children who like looking at pictures on the Internet.

It's good because it lets you dodge Chrome without using 32GB of RAM for 3 tabs like Firefox. But /g/ hates it because of pic related alone.

But, let's see. What else has Apple convinced me of. Hmm. I guess the magnetic-disconnect for the power cord has convinced me. It stays nice and firm, but yet, can easily be removed. I now use magnets to improve everything, such as making my monitor display richer colors, and making my hard drives faster.

Can you give some specific examples?
I like my MacBook and MacOS because it's both shiny, and has a commandline so I can get development work done. No other OS is perfect for both hentai and doing work in vim+tmux.
