What's the best way to limit a badly programmed game to

What's the best way to limit a badly programmed game to 60 FPS? Sonic CD is running at double speed on my 120hz monitor.

Lower to 60hz while you play and force vsync I guess. Also >>>/vr/

There's an easy solution for 120->60: Under "Vsync" in nvidia's 3D rendering settings, enable "adaptive (half refresh rate)". Presumably you can use a profile to limit this to just that game.

If you're using AMD then... just do what >>54836698 says.

I tried doing that but for whatever reason it didn't so anything. Might have some it wrong but I don't think so. Ill try again I suppose
