Is it worth it?
Do you need it?

no. unless you don't care about aesthetics

Depends. The Moto 360 1st gen is $80 referbished right now. If less than $40-50, then go for it. Else wait for the round to go down in price.
Did I do good?

Yes, absolutely.
Better than the round, the color screen one and any other bullshit smartwatch that costs 300€ and has a 20-hour battery.
Only problem is that Pebble is seriously starting to nuke it with new updates, they are mostly focusing on the newer versions and the graphics drivers sometimes shit themselves.
I don't know about pebble but I have a vivoactive hr and I'm really enjoying it, almost the perfect mix between fitness tracker and smart watch.
I have a pebble time, 5 day battery life is what you'll realistically get.
Worth the $229 CAD

atleast it has a high qulity screen
Got mine for $45, still not sure it was worth it.
