fuck those crazy "vr backpacks"
i think this is a better idea
excuse the shitty photoshop
but the idea is you grab a high end w series thinkpad or whatever, and a fancy dock/packpack
the headsets all hooked up to that, so the connections are uniform
and then you undock it and do some work when you're done
could also be used for all types of other shit, like hdmi capture on the fly for streaming nice dslr cameras or what have you
discuss
You're fired

>tripping over and breaking not only a rift but a laptop, dock and gfx card too
sounds great
>>54769965
I don't see why people think it's a good idea to use vr shit outside.

I think it's pretty clear by now that VR was a failure. Let the VR meme die in peace.

How old are you, OP?
They're a good idea, just don't forget your umbrella.

Lain was awesome. Any other cyberpunk anime like it?

Even the 980m is beaten at benchmarks by the 970, and desktop cards make for heavy fucking laptops, so I'd wait for mobile Pascal cards to come out.
Other than that, a lot of people have had this idea, including streaming a camera with it, and it's not a bad one at all. Aorus is even making a backpack JUST to strap their laptops to you, and they make the aforementioned heavy fucking laptops, so it's probably a safe bet that your laptop will fit as well.
It's not like you're taking the Vive outside, though, so why not just use a desktop and trust yourself not to trip?
