Prism laser screens.
Laser diodes point at prism slightly angled on the screen to make individual pixels.
The prism glass is easy to make, the laser tech needs to catch up to get Better than 1200x800 resolution though

hello

Amoled is really great. With I could get some for my desktop.
>>
>>54755123
How will that be better? Either the laser will be a point, meaning minimal viewing angles. Or diffused and then I dknt see the difference from oled other than the size.

I've never heard of a rgb laser either and aren't they incredibly expensive?
>>

>>
>>54755710
>I've never heard of a rgb laser
A laser's just an LED with a lens, I don't see what would be so difficult about using an RGB LED as the LED for the laser.

backlit full color e-ink displays with insanely high refresh rates.

i really don't care about deep blacks at this point since the contrast is already so much better.

While the led is different from a normal led, yes that is the basics of a red laser, but green lasers are much more advanced for example.

But still what's the advantage of such a display?

Also different colors bend differently in lenses.

it's right fucking there, the only difference is it has a n-substrate instead of a simple phosphor coating which is a material that captures photos and only releases them at a certain wave length, this creates a charge pump so for a given amount of light generated only a small amount escapes but they're all flying out in the same direction at the same wave length and that's what gives it the "laser" property.

>>54755754

LED: Light Emitting Diode
LASER: Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation

You don't need a diode for a laser. And adding a lense to a diode does not make it a laser either.
>>
>>54756726
>You don't need a diode for a laser
I never said you did. I was however going off the assumption that a chemical laser would be unnecessary.

>A laser's just an LED with a lens
That implies that all lasers are using LEDs. Most aren't.
>>
>>54756787
Yes, I wrote that post you faggot. I never implied that. I'm sorry I didn't write it autistically clear enough for your liking.
>>
>>54756847
Apology accepted. Next time please make sure that your post does not contain wrong information.

I always do. Notice I never said "all lasers," just "lasers"

You're wrong.
Saying "Lasers are x" carries the same meaning as saying "All lasers are x".
>>

So you're a NEET. That explains your lack of knowledge. Because you seem to have no clue how lasers work beyond what you think you understood from Wikipedia articles.
>>
>>54757506
>You gotta know when to admit you were wrong
I agree. I admit when I was wrong. I haven't been wrong so there's nothing to admit.

You seem to believe that there are only chemical lasers or laser diodes for one. (As per >>54756756.)

But clear communication doesn't seem to be your strong point, so I'm sure you'll blame this on me. Either that or you had no clue what you were talking about and are in full damage control.
>>
>>54757787
I was just using another example of laser type.
>clear communication doesn't seem to be your strong point
It actually is. But why would I put full potential into a discussion with a bunch of autists on an anonymous imageboard?
