I'm gonna build a PC specifically for graphic design work. Anything special I should know about?
Currently just plan on having 32GB of RAM, not sure about anything else.

budget ~$900 USD

add teledildotronics and vr support right into the box
32gb of RAM simply isn't enough for intense graphic design. Go for 64gb. Also get a large hard drive to store all the ram
>>54743974
anything from this decade will do.
you don't need more than 6GB of RAM for "graphic design work"
>>54743974
You will never need that much ram for graphic design. If you were rendering it'd be a different story.

That's the same weight I squatted the first time I ever squatted...in 7th grade.

>Botnet 10 Home $80
Puts you at $650, spend the rest on a GPU or something.

Yeah, currently rocking an Intel HD 530 right now. It's surprisingly powerful.

What kind of "graphic design"? Webshit or print? Plenty of RAM is necessary if you do large-scale rasters. Consider getting a small SSD as scratch disk too. Also if you're doing print get a good IPS monitor. For webshit get a shitty TFT monitor for checking because that's what most people use.

1. No need for aftermarket cooling on a locked CPU.
2. Don't get an OCZ SSD, they're notorious for spontaneously failing.
3. Save 10 bucks and get the 500B, 500W is total overkill anyway.
4. Do you REALLY need a wifi card? Desktops are made to be stationary, ethernet is better for stationary things.
5. You should get a HGST over a WD, or even better, any NAS drive, they're all very reliable.
6. Also, Botnet 10 is very good at finding out if it's a pirated key or not. Beware.

I mean, if you're that upset delete the post. I actually enjoy these kinds of questions.
