I've just installed Ubuntu 16.04 on a laptop (As main OS)

I need your help /g/,
Which Applications, Themes, Icons should I use, which are useful?
And tell what it's features are and why YOU use them.
All categories allowed.

That's one of my favourite combinations. I have recently switched to be the paper icon theme and like that a lot also.

Music: Spotify because I have a subscription
Images: gimp for making Memes and editing icons
Torrents: transmission
Text editor: atom (it's a bit slow but I don't wanna use sublime because it's proprietary)
General: redshift and redshift-gtk (replacements for f.lux)
MPV or gnome-mpv as a media player

Some dank wallpapers.
