I messed around with an actual cardboard Google Cardboard a while back and found it kind of neat. Now that VR is "out" and it's in more people's' hands, I decided to order one of these cheapo-Chinese plastic headsets.

Are there any phone apps that make use of Google Cardboard? Or would it be possible to say, render VR content on a desktop, then stream it to the phone over LAN? Or would the latency be too great?

General VR thread I guess
