Havent started, but interned there. My team at the time was ass. Going back onto a much better team.
>>
>>54685455
so 85k + bonus as an intern?
>>
>>54685425
Are you from Europe or new in the business?
>>
> Consumer Insights Analyst
> £48k ($70k)
> University dropout (BEng Electronic Engineering)
> Personally rewarding job for a big multinational; good perks - feel lucky to have landed a pretty cushy job despite not finishing college.

I m freelancer
I work Asia-Europe-Merica never Australia not sure if they even produce anything
Asia suck I hate to go work there but people are nice, just air is really gross and food is not good also small rooms in hotel

I like to go work in america, good conditions and people give me free shit for my kids

I'm from europe tho.

At the moment I work on multi-million projects for 4rm1
>>
>>54685534
Btw If you consider to put your time in to mechatronic, just do not
It is hard to begin.
>>
>>54685666
What else do you recommend?
>>
>>54685684
My friends do java and web-projects
web projects are entertaining but java will earn you probably more money
there are too many web-designers already
and until you have whole project complete you can not expect much in terms of pay.
>>
>>54685726
But do your friends earn as much as you?

For me is extraordinary to earn 10K a month first of all, then to earn 10K a month as a freelancer! The market must be thirsty for CNC!
>>
>>54685510

LOL so it really is a meme degree

> he thinks he needs to be a mechatronix memelord to program gcode
>>
>>54685755
No they do not and you are correct there is need for many in europe and even more world wide but the trick is Company needs experienced people because no company here know anything about machines
they know to turn them on and off at best[sometimes they call me and ask me how to turn them on too and it makes me mad because you always sign contract that you offer telephone service but they abuse it]
>>
>>54685756
no but if you work on projects i d like to see you without experience
It is not just programming it is designing whole machines[for example targeting systems] too
>>
Work at Toys R Us
Last year I made 26k
No degree, too dumb to finish last year of cs
Not really rewarding but it funds my life
>>
>>54685793
Nevertheless, I believe your job is really great.
You get to travel around the world and earn a lot of money.
How much do you usually stay when an employer calls you in Asia, for example ?
Do you have enough free time to spend with your family?
>>
>>54685854
1week up to 3 months
I did not always have time to be with family but now I do because I work more from home
but they will always call you on telephone and ask things, how to fix stuff etc so you work 24/7 they call any time from any time zone

I feel depressed, tired and angry from my job
but I think It does every job, also yes you travel but you never enjoy it,there is no free time to spend in city and because you are in place where all the business is , there is nothing to see

>What's your job, /g/?
Senior Systems Administrator at a Tier IV datacenter
>How much do you make / year?
Last year's taxes was about $72k USD
>What's your diploma? (What did you graduate in?)
Associates Computer Security/Network Technician (bullshit CC degree)
>Is it personally rewarding for you? If not, why ?
I wouldn't say my job is all that interesting, I do the 2AM to 10AM NOC shift Sunday to Thursday and not much really happens. I do love my company though, 30 days paid vacation time/year and full medical/dental with no co-pays. I like my quality of life.

Systems Engineer/Linux Administrator

90k + bonuses/equity that equate to ~110 total comp annually
>Diploma
BS in a CS related major
>Rewarding
Sometimes yes, sometimes its painfully boring. The pace is too fast for me personally and sometimes I wonder if I can keep up with this since I'm already feeling some burnout at 25.
>>
>>54685981
Yes, in Seattle. 5 years experience. RSUs are company stock issued to give equity, so 225k is a conservative estimate based on company valuation.
>>
Senior Software Engineer
85k
Degrees are memes, I dropped out before getting associates.
Yes.

SCHOOL IS LITERALLY A MEME. TEACH YOURSELF.TEACH YOURSELF.TEACH YOURSELF.TEACH YOURSELF.TEACH YOURSELF.

I live in the midwest in a low cost of living area.

PhD student

>How much do you make / year?
450k NOK a year (=~55k USD) + government employed benefits (cell phone, bus card, internet at home, health insurance)

>What's your diploma? (What did you graduate in?)
Computer science (informatics)

>Is it personally rewarding for you? If not, why ?
Yes, it's the sole reason I quit my job as an embedded developer. Even though the pay was 100-150k NOK less than what I got then.
>>
>>54685350
Intern
Dunno yet, $12.50/hr but I work on my own time and from anywhere
Finished Associates, working on a B.S. Comp.E. degree.
Ye, feels good working in the field your passion lies in. Even if the work itself isn't immediately rewarding, I find fulfillment in what I've accomplished at the end of the day.
