I'm looking to learn about neural networks and machine learning. Does anyone here have any experience with either of these and could you recommend some books, papers, or other resources to look into?

The Week 6 of the first course and the fifth course have a massive spike in difficulty though, so prepare by reading up on statistics and linear algebra.
Another downside is that they use a proprietary technology, although you can follow along with another framework just fine. I did the courses in Scala instead of Python and didn't particularly run into issues.
