Why is emacs so underrated? It's literally the best editor out there and highly customizable without even touching emacs lisp. It also has centralized packages system so you can install anything with tap of a button. Everything just works.
Also, emacs general.

Is there a button to install a good text editor?

Emacs is a pretty decent operating system but it's still missing a good text editor.

It comes with one built-in (which is very good itself) but there are others available in the packages.

Emacs is not underrated, a lot of people use it.
The reason why more people use VIM is exactly that "customizing"..
Emacs is great if you have the time and patientce to build YOUR editor, exactly in the way you find it comfy..
But god be with you when you use some other guys Emacs.
Emacs is a shit text editor. You get problems from typing.
