So im planning to get an associate's degree in CAD/ drafting, is it worth it?
its worth only if they teach you how to draft by hand before you draft using cad

didn't you do that in school?
> What i ment to say am I going to find a reliable job because the program is $40,000 and I don't want to be in student debt it up the ass.
I worked for SolidWorks for two years and I hate that company.

solidworks is a product, not a company
did you mean you worked for dassault systemes?
>wanting to be a drafting slave monkey
Go for it OP. Get some coding courses (C and C++ are the only relevant languages in the industry). If it's possible get some basic digital electronic courses as well and calculus as well. You may have to spend an additional semester but it's worth it.
