I have this too. You can ftp it, but windows FTP server is crap. When he said 'Install Gentoo' it was only partially the truth. You can use a live CD of Ubuntu to run in another VMware client instance, and ftp to and from it. The FTP server need only have minimal ram.

so... He was joking when he said install Gentoo, but he was partially correct for a bizarre reason.

Well I don't think I can use telnet or ftp of whatever, since the console in nextstep doesn't work. It's stuck on "probing for DOS" for some reason.
Gonna try it with an ISO thing see if it works as a virtual cd drive.

I found these instructions here (third post in the thread)

Seems to be working so far, just configure the ISO in the vmware cd-rom drive settings.

shut down, pry up the virtual machine disk image, put files there
>>

Is that really possible? That's what I initially thought of but didnt know how to do it.

You may have a point, but I would rather just cut my head clean off with a chain saw.

What are you using nextstep for if I may ask?

Sound no work. Fuck.

VMWare Workstation 12 lets you drag files directly into a closed VM. Pretty cool feature, I'm just not sure if it works with all virtual systems.
>>
>>54596423
I think I saw it works only with linux and/or windows as guest/host.

When I tested ReactOS I could pull in files in there.
>>
>>54596109
try out the previous emulator, supports ethernet, sound, and megapixel resolution
>>
>>54596562
probably because ReactOS is or at least tries to be windows compatible

Thanks, looks good but there's almost no docs for it. I tried to boot from SCSI Disk with a nextstep 3.3 iso I found online but it just hangs. Any idea how I would have to set it up?
