Nginx. Apahe is going to shit itself after 150 concurrent connections, Nginx will stand after 400, can into load balancing, may be used as a reverse proxy, etc. Nginx is far more superior.
On the other hand, Apache have a built-in PHP interpreter and .htaccess support.
