Proper finger articulation when? I want to switch my fucked up shoulder for cybernetic arm, but they are all so shitty, jesus christ!
Prosthetics are leagues better nowadays than they ever used to be, and yet they're still shit. Why do we as a species have so much trouble replicating the basic functionality of our simplest and most used body parts?
Is it the obsession with being non-invasive? Rejection of foreign objects in the body? Just not a big enough market for it?

Exactly. I want to switch my perfectly normal working limbs for cybernetic counterparts as soon as prosthetics get better than natural limbs, but the technology is improving at a snail's pace. Far slower than many more difficult fields with even a little interest.
