Why should I ever use Django when Flask is a thing?

Why would you use either of them when Ruby on Rails is a thing?

>one drop at a time
Even if its slogan is saying it's slow development as fuck

>Ruby on Rails
It's not 2005 anymore
>>54498985
why is it better
because by the time you have an actual useful website built with flask you've re-implemented half of django but in a shitty not as well tested way
>>54499411
not bloat
Flask is a microframework, it's a completely different thing than Django.
Use Phoenix. Rails is old and slow.

hey OP, I work in enterprise and just want to say this:
Flask's blueprints are great for simple APIs but if you need to do anything hypermedia focused (i.e., the object-oriented model falls apart because you need a ton of functional relations) it kind of falls apart. the framework itself is nice but the django ecosystem makes up for this by not having SQLAlchemy's dick constantly in your ass. I prefer django's ORM over SQLAlchemy because django's heavily discourages SQL, and SQL with complex models is kind of a bitch to maintain.
take what I say with a grain of salt though.
