I think you're better off getting the cheapest unit possible that has a volume knob and bluetooth in. Otherwise it's not worth it unless you move up to a unit that supports CarPlay or whatever the Android equivalent is

What does CarPlay do? Yeah I'd get the Android equiv.
Checked out Android Auto, seems pretty beta as far as functionality goes, other than Google Maps. I wonder if it would be better to get a GPS system or just go for Android Auto.

I got one with mosfet bluetooth pandora support multimedia controls and a remote for like $30 bucks on amazon.

Sony with bluetooth, mex series. I have one with 6 preamps for external amps and I like its simplicity and menu interface, tuner could use some improvement and no HD radio, but I use neither of those.
