So, I wanted to be a cool kid and drop ABP in favor of uBlock Origin.
But, it apparently broke my 4chanel.
Turning it off just for 4chan doesn't help, though I know it's uBo because it was fine with ABP.
What do next? Installing gentoo is not an option.

Yes, the placeholders are annoying but what I find more frustrating is that replies are not shown besides a quoted post and also that answers to posts do not show. Oh, and most cringe is that update and auto disappeared too.

Switched back to AdBlockPlus and there's no more problem.

Oh I see. You have to disable uBlock Origin, change those settings, save them, and then you can enable it again.

Then the issue is on your end. There's a filter somewhere that blocks the execution of that particular script IIRC, so turning it off should solve it (it did for me).
Just get Opera. The new version has adblock included and it's MUCH faster than ABP or ublock origin

No it isn't. The overhead added by uBO is VERY small. There is a thread in the issues area where they benchmarked Brave's (both Opera and Brave are using the electron/Chromium backend) native adblocking capabilities against uBlock's.
