I'm gonna make this quick as I'm getting a bit frustrated.
My PC is going on 10 years old. Built ages ago.
My GPU is an Nvidia GTX 260.
Tried to update my GPU driver today. It fucked my resolution (fixed), and isn't compatible with win 7 Aero anymore. I've since tried to revert back to an older driver, but now my PC no longer recognizes that I even have an Nvidia GPU installed on my PC.
How do I fix this? What do? Can't system restore it, as no restore points because I've got brain problems.
Thanks in advance.

Buy an AMD card.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

A more immediate fix would be nice until then.

Thanks IT.
Yes I have though.
Did you download drivers which are compatible?

The button, is it glowing?

You probably need to install gentoo.
>>54383962
For my most recent update? I believe so yes. As for when I tried to revert, I just used the previous version I had installed. Or attempted to anyway.
Why would you install new drivers for an outdated gpu and an outdated OS?
Are you literally so retarded that you can't see the current gen drivers were made for current gen GPU/OS?
Just install drivers that were made for your gen of card ffs.

Probably because it prompted me to. Old hardware can still be supported mate, and I wouldn't think it would prompt me to update it if it wasn't compatible software.
>Just install drivers that were made for your gen of card ffs.
No shit son. I even stated that I tried to revert to a previous driver and it then wouldn't recognize I even had a card installed.
I fixed it anyway so I'll be deleting this thread in a few moments.

How did you fix it?
>>54384052
By attempting to let my PC update the driver again honestly. Kind of stupid, but instead of using nvidias software, I went to device manager, and then display. It said there wasn't any drivers installed at all. The first time I did it manually, but it didn't work. So then I tried again and let it do it automatically. Everythings back to how it was now.

Are you new?
341.95 was released not long ago, is the latest available driver for your card.
Any driver after 343.xx no longer supports your card.

Not tech support, kill yourself, etc.

>Nvm fixed it
So can we close this ticket?
