Linux-cored Android distro. Then flash another zip for Clockworkmod recovery. This way you can make backups, flash unsigned code like a charm, boot animations...
If you want to put a whole linux distro I recommand Linux Deploy + VNC viewer for a desktop environment (linux deploy only + ssh if server) you pair that with droidsheep, a few router keygens, wifikill and juiceSSH ans you're free to set scripts to connect remotely to any wifi router around you, say in public spaces. and you gather sessions with ARP cache poisoning.
