I bought a "Phanteks Enthoo Pro Black Full Tower Performance E-ATX Case w/o PSU" and it fits snug. Be warned - this case requires you to take out all 3 harddrive/optical bays to mount the board and it covers some cable management.Pic related. Compare a i7 920 to a i7 4790k the FPS increase is only pushing 30%, but the price for a used i7 920 (i picked one of the highest buy it now price) is $70, while the i7 4790k (on average) is $338 and this is only for gaming not productivity.
even then gamers should care about the consistency of FPS.

Eh, that's also false, both chips are really good and both sockets arent half bad.
Point is, there is no real point in upgarading unless you want an NVME drive or one of the features you don't have with x79.
