After AMD burned the hell out of Novideo in the past few months with Ashes of the Singularity as well as performance per watt, I'm waiting for Vega 10 Pro for maximum win.

They can't, but they got boosted pretty hard with Directx 12's implementation, which at the same time blew Novideo out of the water. At the same time AMD made a lot of steps in attempting to collaborate with developers, and the trend will be going towards the current mid-end to be the golden spot to play games at best settings on a "normal" PC, unlike before.

if Polaris 10 comes in a smaller form factor card (ie. not a 30cm long piece of shit), costs less than $300 and indeed performs at 390X level, then it'll be my choice. I might wait for the GDDR5X versions, if it reduces power usage and size even further.

Rev 1 is the low-end revision.

I can't afford the 10<7,8>0, and the 1060 is unlikely to be fully available in the UK for ~6 months if the 960 was anything to go by, and I can't go AMD because I hackintosh, so... I just bought a 960.

I'm hoping for actual competition between top-tier Polaris and top-tier 2016 Pascal. It would be incredibly disappointing to me if Polaris ends up being a tier lower and as such much slower than Pascal. If that happens I'll have to grab 2 1080s to feed my 4K monitor, despite missing out on FreeSync.
