You can't do "sudo echo", use " su" to login to root and echo there

This also works for shell redirection where root is needed

Why on earth would you start a new shell just to run an echo command? Surely it's much more obvious, since echo's in coreutils, to runsudo env echo?
I tend to do this when writing to filesecho 'fuck' | sudo tee file.txt
# appending to file
echo 'tyts' | sudo tee -a file.txt
You can also use tee to pipe to other shit
