The university has 30k students + alumni, which is what my account is now. You get however much storage your school is paying for, which in my case is 30 gigs. The school also still controls the account and is it's admin, so I can't really do anything with it.

I only use Drive for school related items. Even though it's unlimited, I don't see the point in uploading everything to Google's servers.
