Yeah that's why I replaced my stock fans as well, the Riing 14s are pretty quiet in comparison. The nice looking LED accent is just a bonus.

Right now because I am missing a RAM DIMM (getting a new one soon), I am not running an OC, everything is at stock. When I do have my other DIMM however I run at 4ghz. And thanks, the yellow certainly isn't my preference, but it doesn't look as bad as some people here have tried to say, at least in my opinion.

An overclocked 980Ti (Core clock: 1250MHz, Boost clock:1326Mhz, Max Boost clock: 1477Mhz, Memory clock: 8Ghz, Voltage: 1.23v.) with an Intel Core i7-4960X @ 4.2GHz, 32GB DDR3 RAM @ 1866 CL9, and an SSD, only pulls 420w from the wall.

A solid gold or platinum rated 500w unit should be fine with that considering you will almost never be pulling full load. That being said, if overclocking the CPU and GPU to that extent, I would recommend a 600-750w unit just to be safe.

Because Thermalright are cunts and not only they make their fans in period red, but also opt for an unusual shape. That is, it's wider than it is tall by half an inch. A fan in the middle interferes with one of the screws on the GPU.

Solid fans otherwise. A wide 300-2500 RPM range, good static pressure, relatively quiet.

forwhatpurpose.jpg
Also looks like your starving your CLC of air..
>>
>>54308679
That space is there (almost?) specifically for CLC's.
Or two fans, I guess.
>>
>>54308679
I move my pc a lot, and the last thing I want is a cable falling in transit and hearing BRRRTRTRTRTRT when I turn it on. Opening the lid on my 250d is a pain because the GPU rubs against the top, so I'd rather just not screw with it.

As for the CLC, no it's not starved. The noctua moves quite a bit of air, and the GPU intakes quite a bit into the case as well. Even with CLC fans on 100% there's air exhausting passively through the 80mm mounts on the rear.

4690k is running at 4.6ghz 1.24V. I only ever have one or two cores that hit ~60°C, and that's only when it's around 75°F in my house.

Everything is peachy keen senpai
>>
>>54308782
That's correct. Corsair designed the 250d to work perfectly and fit like a glove with the h100i.
>>
>>54308789
Eh, I just thought that in your case (single very restricted intake vs. 2 less restricted fans on the CLC) it would just make everything noisier than it needs to be, but if you've tested it and it works, I guess it's fine.

Corsair Hydro H105
All depend on your need

In my opinion hyper 212 evo is way cheaper
and will do for basic overclock. if thats enough for you , no need to spend more. I've choose the H105 because i really love the aesthetic of it , not a fan of those big bulky air cooler , except for the BeQuiet Dark Pro 3 who simply look gorgeous. It also give me a lot of OC room for the 2500k , something i really enjoy when doing some stability test with P95 and IBT.
The H105 with the 4 fan @ 50% at full load will keep it cool without being fucking noisy.

Tl,Dr : go for it if you want aesthetic and performance and got the money , otherway stick with the hyper 212
>>
>>54306411
Where do you get those cable extenders?
>>
>>54308854
Oh, yes. It's pretty noisy, I won't lie. The 250d is one of the loudest cases I've ever heard lol. But that's really due to its design. Acoustics were definitely not considered.

I understand what you meant now. However, I would count the GPU fans as an intake really since they draw directly from outside the case (through a filter though). The fans on the matrix cards move a lot of air, but almost none is exhausted out the back. Maybe 10% if I had to guess.

So I guess it's sort of like a 3 intake, 2 exhaust setup.

Why would I want a "proper" loop unless I plan on doing my GPUs and CPU. And if I am going that far thats $400-600 easy. AIOs allow me to have good CPU temps, beating all current air coolers on the market, and with good low RPM fans, are quieter as well.

Assuming you're the same faggot from last night, I have a 5 year warranty on my AIO and even with the cost of aftermarket fans, I am still under $170.
>>
>>54309425
>it was just 170 and it cools as much as a 40$ air cooler!!!!!!
>>
>>54309425
>and with good low RPM fans, are quieter as well
Yeah, nah. A CLC will never be quieter than a regular heatsink.
>>
>>54309454
I mean, yeah... Just look up the noise level of the fans you're buying.

They're the same fans used on air coolers, so if you get similar fans and a decent sized radiator, it is certainly possible to beat air coolers in both cooling performance and noise levels.

>>54309445
I was comparing the price to a custom loop, I was never comparing it to an air cooler.

I much prefer the aesthetics of water cooling and would consider the money well spent even it performed worse. However, as long as you aren't retarded in which AIO you buy, and you get decent fans for it, you can beat the performance of the air cooler, and be out of the way and look nice, and be quieter.

It wont beat a custom loop, but again, at less than half the cost, it's a trade off.

We can argue until we're blue, but I still won't agree with you. I've been around multiple CLCs and each and every pump produced a high pitched whine that was immediately apparent to me. I suppose some people can't hear them, but it's a deal breaker to me.
>>
>>54309520
>I was never comparing it to an air cooler
Oh, no you weren't? Let me just quote you:

"AIOs allow me to have good CPU temps, beating all current air coolers on the market, and with good low RPM fans, are quieter as well. "

>I much prefer the aesthetics of water cooling

It's not water cooling stop calling it like that. It's CLOSED LOOP COOLER. which is inferior. But I guess you're going to defend your 170$ purchase of inferior cooling and quietness.

You're literally too retarded to make a DIY project and do a loop for your components.

>>
>>54316772
Just a tad loud, yeah.
And by that I mean unacceptably loud to my ears, at least for use in the Ncase.
I'm not entirely sure, to be honest.
5L is a big difference, but I'm not certain it'll be worth it to me with my current hardware.
Regardless I'm going to get an A4, I'm just not sure I'll build into it until I get a lower TDP CPU, which might be a while.

Also note I've got my 3570K OC'd a little, if it's not OC'd it's not quite as loud since it doesn't have to work so hard with less heat to dissipate.

Does anyone know of a Mini-ITX case that is actually made for small form factor PCI cards? It seems like all companies are trying to push for maximum compatibility and full length Titan sized cards but all I want is a tiny computer
