Because I've been waiting for a model to come out that supports proper (non-wireless) convergence.
I'm also waiting for them to improve general performance. The videos of the Pro 5 & BQ tablet have been super underwhelming speed-wise.

That did work fine for me.
Maybe you entered the wrong region code for the dropdown menu before the number field.
I tried buying one from BQ. The order went through, I didn't actually receive it. Apparently, BQ wanted to confirm my card details, so I tried doing it, but they said I had to re-place the order.
I just bought a Xiaomi Mi4 instead.

you can buy a solar charger, a qwerty/azerty/dvorak keyboard, an extended battery, etc that all plugin to the native jolla extension platform, thus being way lower footprint than most phone addons/cases

Perhaps I should get a phone with the appropriate hardware, wipe it, install Sailfish (from my understanding, Lipstick is another name for this OS (?)), and become a comfy guy inside.
I will primarily be using my phone for media streaming & shopping, so I need to work out the appropriate hardware specs. Budget: $100-$300 or even $400 if the gains aren't too marginal at that point
