Remember the following:
>tracker staff are known to browse and post in these threads - think twice before offering to trade, buy or sell invites and accounts here
>the same goes for publicly offering or accepting invites - even if staffers aren't watching, an anon may still report you
>around 60% of posters here chat shit - don't make any claims about sites based on "something you read here once" (this especially applies if a poster has a name/trip attached)

Opinions on UltimateGamer.Club?

Is it a good private tracker for gamers?
>>
>>54230285
I prefer GGn.
>>
>>54230285
It's alright as a backup for GGN I suppose. Good layout and all that. Mods have come here before acting a bit desperate though.
>>

>>54230303
BCG is like an uglier version of pre-botnet BG but I guess that's the best gamers get these days

Yeah, that's what I feel.

I guess gamers don't really have a private tracker home nowadays.
>>
>>54230328
>GGn is fucking trash
It covers all my needs, besides it's Gazelle and doesn't looks like shit like the other top gaming trackers.

It's been a couple of months since last site crash so it seems they fixed everything now.

How do I search on empornium? Like it literally doesn't give me anything close to what I searched for
>>
>>54230328
BCG is actually a pretty good tracker considering it's a gaming tracker but the fucking technical info and lack of guides and shit is horrifying
HDB tells you how to set up a home cinema so you can enjoy their stuff whereas BCG has people upload stuff and wait for people in the comments to figure it out
>inb4 but its easy
Yeah but if you upload 3ds cia games then post a 3ds hacking guide on the front page to help your users out

Try "all" in the filter options.

I don't know what game that is but probably not. Very little Win9x there in general.

If you like console/arcade/old PC games and prefer them in huge-ass fucking sets to fill up your HDDs, PD is the place for you. It's all about sharing of fullsets

>>54230492
Indeed
>>
>>54230422

Title search isn't useless, it functions exactly as it should, if you search for all titles with the name XXX it WILL find all titles with that present in the title.

What doesn't work very well is the default search at the top of the site called 'search torrent' or 'search terms'.

>Any WEB-DLs out there for the currently airing season of Banshee?

>>
>>54231962
WEB-DLs are shit, webrips are better if they're done by reputable groups.

But yes trackers get them almost immediately after they get posted. There are people who buy them and up them in minutes.

If you want to start a new game in the private tracker RPG then I have a bit of advice for you

1. Take the WCD interview and the AB app, these are the best way to start out in private trackers
2. Do NOT accept invites from anyone, EVER. Only get invites from official recruitment threads
3. These threads are shit and people will not help you and give you bad advice. The links in the OP are still good, mostly.

>I've never seen a webrip that didn't look like complete shit, which groups actually produce something watchable?
Any group from HDBits or BTN will produce high quality webrips. They also have better cappers than scene and if a p2p group from HDB or BTN does an HDTV encode it'll look a hell of a lot better than scene shit.

If they're just screen recording a Flash/Silverlight video player I don't see how that'd end up looking better than iTunes, then again I'm not getting in anytime soon so I guess I won't be finding out for a while.

And yeah obviously scene HDTV releases will look better since they don't have the stupidly low file size restrictions and racing that the scene works with, but when the broadcast quality is shit to begin with pumping up the bitrate only helps up until a certain point.

They are not. A webrip these days means you are doing a lossless capture from Netflix or Hulu using a streaming box like a PS3 or Nvidia Shield. They even do 4K rips now that look just as they do on the service itself.

As long as private trackers grow, change, die, arise, we will have plenty to discuss.

You're not very bright considering you claim to have "started" this general.

(I actually started it)

It's easier to check whether or not someone's recruiting if you give me the specific trackers you're interested in since there are no subscriptions for the invite forums.

But as has been said multiple threads earlier, HDB and PTP are currently recruiting and BTN is not.
>>
>>54232570
>which trackers are better than others for content
And for the 'which trackers are better' too, I think the wiki suffices for the most general - books, music, movies, TV - because that doesn't tend to change rapidly over time.
>>
>>54232583
Here is the text in case you were wondering

There is a new /ptg/ meme - "ghostleeching"

https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Ghostleech

It appears some redditors are already getting hit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/seedboxes/comments/4gfb80/deluge_dht_pex_and_lsd_disabled_but_still_get_udp/

It also appears that PTP and BTN shutdown to fix this problem. Are other trackers also going to do something about it? I (and I am sure everybody else here) do not want my seedbox being used by some unauthorized
>>
>>54232585
Ah, thanks. Good to know.

I'm also into retro / obscure stuff. Unfortunately I don't think anything for that exists anymore. UndergroundGamer used to be my favorite.
>>
>>54232600
I'm not much into games myself but the general gist of the thread direction is BCG > GGN but I assume that most people are on both.
>>
>>54232608
Yeah, I am on them. I don't think I'll ever be satisfied though since I consider both to be general game trackers.

That's just how it is I guess. The nostalgia from the old days is too strong.

You might as well close to the tracker to prevent further leaking of the info_hashes. Im pretty sure some dumb fuck started scrapping all of BTNs torrents

and when you have scrapped the entire torrent database AND the top 30% of the peer. You dont need the tracker anymore (until new shit comes out)
>>
When did all these ghostleeching curries invade /ptg/? Go back to shitting on the streets or whatever else you do you dickheads.
>>
>>54232685
You can add scripts to detect ghostleeching prep, but yeah, the only way to fix it is to fork the Bittorrent protocol to harden private swarms.

Which they really should do by now. Imagine how secure they would be if only members could leech and they banned all of the clients that didn't support the authentication method.

>>

>I wouldn't trust somebody like 312c to code this tho.

He wouldn't do it. They would convince somebody like the libtorrent maintainer to accept an athentication method into libtorrent and then we'd all have to switch to Deluge or qBittorrent or whatever uses the new security measure.
>>
>>54232762
I hope they actually do that. It'd be a good solution to this ghostleech nonsense
>>
>>54232762
They'll probably just add restrictions or add watchdogs on the people who download. torrent files. Maybe we'll have to download 312c spyware in order to download .torrent files to ensure we don't leak the hashes and peers.

They are going to have to create a team that codes that if this /ghostleeching/ meme goes mainstream.

I can see WCD, PTP and BTN working together with the libtorrent maintainer to add a private key exchange to the Bittorrent protocol and then all of us will have to switch to libtorrent-based clients.

At least that will mean that private torrents will finally go completely open source.
>>

Filelist, GFT, and nCore.
>>

I think bB, Ncore, Filelist are pretty good. TSH is a good P2P mirror and raiotless like Ncore. There's also PTM. Alpharatio is up and coming.
>>
>>54232839
Let make it mainsteam then. Talk about it everychange you get, in reddit. Once it is mainstream there, talk about it in the trackers
>>
>>54232839
Do you think the torrent protocol will remain the same forever?

Eventually somebody will create a privacy-focused upgrade of the Bittorrent protocol, or a new modern protocol all together and we will all be switching to it.
>>
>>54232818
It would probably be easier to add an option that ignores IPs that aren't in the tracker response on private torrents.

libtorrent-rasterbar is the one that deluge and qbittorrent use.

https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent

libtorrent-rakshasa is the one rtorrent has a the backend.

https://github.com/rakshasa/rtorrent

Both are possible candidates for a protocol upgrade, but since rakshasa only works on UNIX, then it will probably be rasterbar since Deluge and qBittorrent alone will be enough to replace all the clients on private trackers.

For music and books private trackers are pretty much essential to get some things unlike movies/tv where everyone and their mum has access to it on public sources. That being said:
1. Soulseek -- top alternative for WCD. Carries FLAC/V0/320 you name it. Lots of WCDfags on it.
2. Rutracker. -- carries a lot of FLACs, 320 kbps etc → people tend to take these off WCD or WCDfags upload to it. Also your regular PTs incl TPB and Kat.cr
3. Music DDL find this via google eg mp3 yoursongname here. DON'T stick to a list of blogs like /mu/ that's the number one way to miss shit. DL everything with jdownloader first. If there isn't a link but it plays you can rip the song via a debugger
4. I still recommend you get WCD and Anime.bytes and Jpopsuki which will cover about 5-10% of music that the first 3 sources will inevitably miss.
5. For the remaining 1% of songs you can't find you must webrip them. In order of preference I webripped from Rdio (192 kbps - now defunct), Spotify (160 kbps) and Youtube (confirmed shitty transcode). If you have access to QBuz (whatever it's called) or Tidal you can webrip in FLAC.
6. For every song you can't get you must record it from soundcard. (Thus 100% of music found on the internet is covered).
7. Request song/music on WCD.
>>
>>54232942
*
Forgot to mention that a /ptg/ anon recommends using emule too. Animu music you can also get from baidu (check out the /a/ threads someone will have inevitably posted the link. )

Also /mu/'s archive I forgot to mention.
>>
>>54232939
>god fucking dammit. I prefer rtorrent to deluge/qbitorrent (and I am sure the seedbox population does too).

Eventually, the rtorrent maintainer and all other open source clients like Transmission will accept the new security measure if it is proven to work.

This is all speculation, though. Nobody has said anything about this work being done, but if it is not done, ghostleeching will affect every private tracker.
>>
>>54232949
I wish there was a good place with a list of good DDL sites for music. I've heard the Russians have a good collection.
>>
Is DigitalHive a good private tracker for general stuff? I asked for an invite in the What.CD forum from a recruiter.
>>
>>54232976
It a scene 0day tracker so it's alright. There won't be any p2p stuff there though like IPT, TSH and FL.
>>
>>54232972
I recommend highy searching for everything individually. Searching across one blog will inevitably miss stuff out or the blog could go down and because there are so many sources it is impossible to be comprehensive.

That's why even if you think that WCD/Animebytes/Jpopsuki is a lot of work I still recommend getting them for music, just use it as your ultimate backup in case one source fails. Sure 99% of the time it might be useless but you don't want stuff escaping from your net and with music quite a lot of stuff falls through.
