say you have a smart tv but want to game, kill the smart tvs ip and it wont affect ping,

Not my router, and most devices are wireless, so local ips change after router power reset, i know what QoS is, its the first thing i looked in to, knocking users off takes the least amount of effort from me, considering i never hog all the bandwidth, i know exactly who does tho, and this will force them to walk up 2 flights of stairs to power reset the router every time they want to be a cunt and decimate the entire bandwidth.

no access and default passwords to router fail. your idea requires router access. please read each word one by one if skim reading means missing entire sentences, it would then be poor quality skim reading, so brush up on that skill.
my solution: 3 clicks on phone
your solution: brute forcing router access and applying additional configuration, both mac adress and qos
both work, one is less hassle and immediate.. and involes training and punishing the bandwidth hog by making them walk up stairs over and over again until the give up.
