just in case anyone didn't actually read the article, what has been developed is a battery with a ridiculously high number of charge/discharge cycles. Modern batteries are basically fucked after a several hundred to a thousand cycles, this can be recharged over 100,000 times.
it's not infinite power, but it does mean laptop and electric/hybrid car batteries won't lose their capacity.

I've been avoiding nice looking metal phones because I like to keep my phones for 3-5 years and I don't want the hassle of replacing dead or weak batteries. I use my phone a lot and charge it twice a day which fucks the battery up fairly quickly. I've already replaced my Note 3 battery because it was losing its charge in just 2-3 hours of OST. I live in a country where warranty doesn't mean shit and you're going to pay out the ass for simple battery replacement.
