Ah, a Linux user who enjoys customizing his Operating System. Unsurprising. Primitive minds are drawn to shiny things and trivial displays of individuality. But no matter how many tribal fetishes you stick around your desk or bones you stick in your nose, you're still a Linux user to any onlooker. The enlightened Windows users of the world are satisfied with customizing two things: their accent color, and the color of the Surface keyboard. (I'm of the mindset that those two should be required to match, but there's a smarter man than I in charge.) Less customation means more time to do productive work.
As for the spyware, that's to allow the thousands of genius Microsoft engineers to improve the user experience. What a blessing. Heck if a Linux distro had come up with that idea, I might give them a little respect.
