How would it get you laid? They aren't rare or magical, anyone can have one and if they were a known device to get you laid then everyone would probably have one. At least as a secondary device to put out when you need to show off that you are one of those people.

They aren't even better system wise so anyone who actually knows about computers wouldn't be impressed by them. So who is so impressed that it makes them want sex immediately?

No one, this is the lowest form of Apple shilling. Trying to attack one's biological instincts of procreation to sell products. It might work on monkeys but not thoughtful people.

Actually being UNIX certified is the only way to be a proper UNIX nowadays, there are no other criteria. At the same time, Red Hat-based distrib K-UX was certified as a UNIX recently, so it isn't unique for OS X.

>>
>>54137398
>real UNIX (MacOSvX
The only thing macfags have to defend themselves with is the paid certificate. The actual system in OS X is hacked together by amateurs and is the worst UNIX out there.

Linux is ten times better than OS X and will always be, there are a lot more professional (and many volunteers also) developers for it and the code is open so every major or minor brain fart can be corrected by others. The best options always tramples the lesser ones, making progress fast and continous. The actual kernel is so rock solid it can be trusted to run every important system that needs to minimize the downtime. That's why every real server runs Linux.

Windows of course is currently the best option for gaming, just because game developers won't move on to open standards but use DirectX. After that part is corrected then Linux will surpass Windows in gaming performance as well, like it has in a few games that were later optimized for Linux. You can get more FPS out of your game if the system under it is Linux and the game has been optimized. This is the case in Left 4 Dead and the progess has been documented.

Linux can of course be for hobbyists as well, as it can be modified as much as the user wants and needs. This doesn't change the fact that there are companies making distributions that are fully ready to use out of the box and require no tweaking.
>>
>>54138163
>The only thing macfags have to defend themselves with is the paid certificate.
I'm a retard the post. That certificate implies POSIX standards. (IE. you can grab any UNIX book from Oreilly and it will be compatible with OSX) I even went through all of Advanced Programming in the Unix Environment on OSX without any gotchas. OSX is the only desktop Unix in production now.

You could have done that with GNU/LInux as well. The lack of certificate is never a proof that it can't be done, it just means that nobody paid for it when making the system itself compatible. OS X might be the only desktop UNIX, but it's not the only desktop OS for this stuff.

Programming in case-insensitive system must be terrible. Stupidity like that would never get popular on Linux.

This is what the thread has devolved into.
A bunch of NEET mactards saying dribble like
>>GNUTARD XDDDDDD I SAW THIS ON AN APPEL AD 10 YEARS AGO!! XDDDD
>>OMG U DISAGREE WITH ME U MUST BE FREETARD XDDDDDDDD .01 IN UR ACCNT PAJEET XDDDD

/g/s true cancer.

If you don't like being called out for being a retard and a sheep, you can go back to your reddit/facebook macfag circlejerk hugbox that you came from.

The only thing we found out in this thread is that there is no Desktop Unix since most certified Unix today has no ATT code or they don't make a desktop.

Holy shit, you're so lazy and uninspired that you can't even come up with an original come back. You just made a shittier version of it.

Which is absolutely hilarious, because that describes open source software in it's entirety.

Why do they call it OS Cuck?

Because when you use it, you do one infinite loop and get cucked.

Must be facinating to have the memory of an altzheimer patient.
Resorting to lazy mocking after being unable to counter any arguments (as seen in this chain below), is not just a copyrighted privilege of Apple users. There are some Linux users that do the same. Of course the quantity may not be on as large scale but we're getting there.

What if I want to do it in my email client, or in an ebook reader, or my PDF reader?
Also even Linux doesn't have window management that is this nice.

What are you talking about? Did you think that was a screenshot of my windows instead of the "exposé" function? Are you retarded anon? Even normalfags know Macs can explode all the windows into view.
This feature is probably older than you are.

That's not even enabled by default you know.
>>
>>54140826
I remember using that expose function in Ubuntu almost a decade ago. It was probably there a lot earlier too, that's just when I remember using it.

I also remember taking a video of my cube desktop where I had a running video on one side and a board game on another and even when moving the cube the video kept rolling. All these things are nice gimmicks but Alt + Tab is still faster.
>>
>>54140981
Linux has been doing it since maybe 2004 or so with Compiz. "Exposé" actually isn't used anymore, it's been deprecated by mission control which is a lot different.
Gnome kinda sorta does it, but it's not the same and doesn't work very well at all from what I remember.
>>
>>54141041
I use Cinnamon and it's working fine. The functionality is even called "Expo" in keybinds.
>>
>>54141124
Like I said, it's really not the same.

>>54141257
Actually the keybinds for those both functions are so similar I was looking at the wrong one. The correct one is called Scale and I have both of them enabled.

>>54141335
No really, it's not the same. I've used what Linux has to offer. It's similar to how the function worked in 2005, but on modern OS X it's completely different.

With fags? Sure. Anyone else? Nope.

It's a way to switch from one application to another by showing them all side by side. How could it be different? I've used both as well.

Pic related, I found it from Google.

It also allows you to move those windows between desktops, make new desktops, make desktops where the application is full screened (no titlebars, usually no toolbars either), or where two applications are full screen side by side. You can also switch between desktops while remaining in the "scaled" mode.
It's a combination of the two features you mentioned with some extras.
Also those labels are really gross.
