I've always used my smart phone without a case. I don't like cases. I'm very careful too. I've had smartphones for year and never broke them or scratch them. I'm proud of the way I handle my phone.
The other day I arrive at the office, place my phone on the table. Start taking other stuff from my pockets like keys, wallets, etc.
Suddenly, my Stainless Steel Freestyle Leathermen Multi-Tool somehow slips from my hand, falls on the face of my Nexus 5. Makes a whole on the it and shatters the screen.
My phone now has a HOLE on it due to my incredible necessity of carrying a cool multi tools around for some reason!
Luckily, the phone still works fine. The whole isn't in the screen.

I need my bike room fob and personal office key to be able to work normally. I need the interior and exterior keys for the 3-4 nights a week I stay later then everyone else.
