If you're even doing such a thing in the first place I'm sure I won't understand you enough to be able to persuade you into doing anything.
It works fine under wine, and with UI that's easy to understand and learn.
Never tried krita, since most stuff I do is manga clean up and redraw this looks Okish to me.
So far I've used PS under XP in VB.
But Japan can't into programming. Same as they can't into web programming

There is no market. If it isn't Adobe, it's Affinity or Pixelmator or Sketch and they are all Mac exclusive. Even Windows is a second class citizen when it comes to 2D graphics programs and other programs related to graphic design.
3D is a different story, there is a market for Linux and Windows and you see companies supporting those platforms.
