OneNote is the best shit that has happened to productivity.
Handwritten notes from my Surface Pro 4 synced to my Mac and to my iPhone and vice versa.
In a work meeting? Just take notes on it, review on my workstation later.
Developing? Have my SP4 handy to make notes, scribble pseudo code, etc. Review on my workstation instantly.
In class? Take notes and record audio, review in any device later.

The dropbox android app has a text editor, I just keep a txt file in my homescreen (Dropbox folder shortcut) and take the notes there. It obviously syncs. What else can you possibly need

I use pen and papper - this way I save up lots of money, first of all the software in case if I want to buy a professional one, then I don't have to have the computer booted up - nor invest in a printed or turn it on ( printers consume fuck ton of electricity ).
I just use a cheap pencil and cheapest paper, write my notes - sort them very quick and "archive" them in my desk, then take them out read and when I feel like they're solidified in my brain I throw the paper away making more room.
On computer I used to write too much and never check them, physical notes motivate you to actually go trough them.
