What's wrong with Manjaro? Helpful as fuck community, and clean and easy install. I installed it 2 months ago having never been on Linux before and it was really easy, nothing broke. I have it on dual boot with Windows because I wanted to have a backup OS in case I didn't like it. Now when I boot into windows it's freaking slow and laggy and shit I don't even bother with it anymore. Just wastes space.

I tried out al lot of distros (Gentoo not included), none of them are the perfect distro for everyone. Ubuntu werks pretty werky, fedora werks but not as good as ubuntu and it doesn't come with everything needed to just werk, arch takes long to configure and might not werk at all on some hardware configurations, debian is best imo. I'd suggest Debian/Ubuntu with your fave DE (mine's Gnome, as it has a good amount of features, looks pretty and is stable most of the time)

It's been over 2 years for me. People on IRC are really helpful if you don't ask really stupid questions that are easily searched. I have few Debian machines that I maintain but I'm surprised how stable Manjaro is for a relatively new distro.
