Fedora/RHEL and Debian are the biggest names. Ubuntu is a decent desktop oriented OS based on Debian. But the problem with Ubuntu and Fedora is that they ship nonfree firmware by default. So if your PC can run without it, Debian is probably a better choice.

Well I like arch, debian is too outdated and fedora is bloated, when I tried to remove pulseaudio from fedora gnome went with it, on arch I don't have these kind of problems. From what I've read, ubuntu is botnet + buggy and bloated. Mint is ubuntu based so I haven't tried. So far for me, the best distro is arch linux

No, that's as illogical as calling it Linux. The Linux kernel is a vital component, but not the whole OS, while Python, the language used to code a lot of it, is more equivalent to the material used to make something. Neither makes sense as a label to apply to the whole OS. GNU refers to the OS as a whole.
