Looks pretty awesome. 9/10 I'd only give you deductions for not doing a custom water cooling loop and the case badge.

I wish I went mini ATX like you did, or even ITX. I have no use for all of these PCI-e slots.

I'll be getting a Pascal card as soon as they come out, otherwise this is my first build and I love it. I built it about a year ago (March 2015) with a 750 ti -> used 760 -> 960.

Well, I've got my loop assembled. And temperatures are good... But I can't get the case really assembled, because of all the space the tubing takes up. I might have to change cases.

>Picture obviously before loop installation.

Using a single 240mm radiator for both GPU and CPU...

>CPU idle: 21-23C
>CPU load (AIDA64): ~40C
>GPU idle: 21-23C
>GPU load (The Division, max settings 3,440 x 1,440 ~2 hours): ~40C

The CPU doesn't really pass 40C when gaming, with the GPU at 40C also. I'm considering the NZXT Manta, even though it's a huge case, just for the extra radiator space. Either that, or wasting a shit ton of money and doing a build in an In Win 909 with like two 240mm radiators, and a 360mm radiator. But that would basically be a brand new build. So I'm leaning away from it.

>>54083429
If you're going for a larger case, might as well at least add another 240mm rad. 360mm would be nice, though probably overkill.
>>
>>54083770
Well, if I did the Manta it would be two 240mm radiators.

If I go with the 909, it'll be two 240mm's and a 360mm radiator. I'd probably add a second GTX 980, too, just to fill up the case a bit more.
>>
>>54083797
>I'd probably add a second GTX 980, too, just to fill up the case a bit more.
I'd wait for pascal/polaris before getting a dual GPU setup. Unless you really think you need it to get acceptable FPS.
>>
>>54083797
Get two 980 Tis
Pascal will be shit
>>
>>54083830
I don't need it, it's just for the look more or less at that point. It'd make a minimal difference in muh gaymes.
>>
>>54083888
Why would you buy two $600 cards that originally released for $650 a year ago, when something at least comparable, if not better, will come out for less money in a few months? I'm not saying Pascal will blow the 980ti out of the water, but it is obvious it will be more power efficient and run cooler, even if it doesn't surpass it in RAW power (or only manages a ~5-10% performance gains)

You'd have to be a retard to buy two 980Tis right now.
>>
>>54083938
Power > anything else
>>
>>54083949
Okay, and the 1080 or whatever they're going to call it will run cooler, use less power, and be more powerful by a small bit in games for the same or cheaper price than the current 980ti.

Not to mention, he said he doesn't even need the power of a 2nd 980, he just wanted it to fill the case.

Is Intel really better than AMD? I actually researched both and couldn't really find that much of a difference. It might have something to do with my inexperience. This is the first time I've built a PC on my own.

>>54084234
Christ.
>>
>>54084262
Intel has a HUGE IPC advantage over AMD. Basically for every Ghz, an intel CPU does about 40% more operations for the SAME clock speed.

So a quad core AMD vs a quad core intel. The intel is at 3Ghz and the AMD is at 4Ghz, the intel is still faster in almost every instance.

AMD's only advantage is price.

I never tried 4.5 tho as I'm using air cooler and I want stable temperatures at full load. Why have extra little fps in games sacrificing cpu life lmao.

My stock is 3.5 with turbo 3.9 since I don't game anymore I'm considering lowering clock to 3.9 - what voltage do you suggest to use?

So far the Corsair 300R looks reasonable, but your say they're overpriced.
Cooler Master's HAF 912 looks okay for basic-bitch.
Also looked at the RAIDMAX Narwhal which despite it's flashy look appears to be a solid case with a lot of bells and whistles.

What are your major complaints? I've got a 750D and couldn't be happier. Tons of space for HDDs, SSDs, and good space for radiators and cable managment behind the motherboard tray. Solid construction, dust filters, etc.

Only two complaints are no tempered glass side panel (but that would increase costs a good deal). And the external radiator hose holes are punch out steel not rubber grommet like you'd expect for this price.

>>
>>54086632
>>54086635
In my opinion you just don't get much with the 650D for the $200 price tag, if you take a look at the Define R5, it has removable optical drive trays, rubber grommets the are large, and is nearby the PSU, tool-less SSD mounts on the motherboard tray, cable management tie downs. Just basic quality of life stuff. As for my 650D the side doors require two people to fit in properly, because of how flimsy they are, top mounted watercooling suffers due blockage by the rear fan, the screws dig into the top side dust filter, and installation was a pain. The dust filters are magnetic, but they are not nearly strong enough to be held in place, I find myself constantly trying to hold them back up. I only use the Define R5 because of it's price tag. All these features and quality of life for $89 as opposed to $200. If you have money to burn, and don't mind some of the pains of the 650D, go for it, but you can get much better bang for your buck.

>reversed the flow on their ek block
For CPU blocks it sort of matters, though not a huge deal. For GPU blocks it doesn't matter at all.

?

ek gpu blocks instructions specifically states flow direction doesn't matter. it was obvious I was talking about their cpu blocks.

Not really. I figured you were either talking about blocks in general or GPU blocks, as you were also saying how the other anon messed up his GPU block.

I have my Heatkiller running in reverse and rotated 90 degrees, still works. If I did it properly I cold maybe lose a few degrees but my shit doesn't run hot enough to care about such a small amount.

ASUS Radeon HD 7970 GHz 3GB GDDR5
12GB Ram
ASUS P7H55-M PRO Motherboard

Im being bottlenecked by the CPU big time, right?
Im not that good with computers, I apperciate any answers within reason!

I'd love to see any proof that says otherwise, rumors and speculation don't count.

Every single high end GPU from nvidia has surpassed the previous generation, every single time. It would be unprecedented if the 1080 didn't.

So good luck with that.

The specs say otherwise
Do your research before being autistic

"the specs"

oh you mean the unannounced unconfirmed specs. oh okay.

They are confirmed, moron
You aren't aware of what GDC is? Go to the nvidia website .

I watched it live you stupid nigger, that was all tesla, and you can extrapolate potential performance from that, but again nothing is confirmed, nothing is announced, shut the fuck up and stop being a retard.
