Atom and Brackets are slow, bloated shit that are not in the same tier as TextMate 2 and Sublime at all. Their features are decent but their weight is totally unacceptable when other editors do all the same things and then some while taking a fraction of the resources. Atom, Brackets, and VS Code are the hummers of programming text editors.

This seriously blows my mind why the fuck they would have 'push to mute' and not implement it the other way. Who the hell pushes to mute. It is so stupid that I have to do a hackjob by muting my mic the phemtosecond I get into a voice chat then using push-to-mtue to speak.

Like holy shit how can you fuck up the most basic feature so much. Not that I used skype for VOIP since I usually use teamspeak, but people I know IRL always insist on using it.

I'm glad my friends switched to discord becaues it's not as big as a piece of junk.

They use Skype like you would an telephone. When you call someone on the phone, you're live unless you specifically mute yourself. Same with FaceTime, they just view it as a computer based telephone service.

All of Android Studio's good qualities are negated by its bloat and sluggishness. This can be remedied somewhat by turning on Power Save Mode but even then it's still much more sluggish than Eclipse. There's a patch to fix that somewhere I can't remember right now.

I was fucking mad for the segfaults but after compiling the package w/ the patch, crashes are gone.

Well it's nice your response is "Ok kid", immediately resorting to partonizing when someone doesn't favor your operating system that is literally a bunch of crap put together. Imagine a car put together, where some parts are made by 2 nerds developing it slowly for years and some are made by huge corporations, and some are just rushed, and then you called it a car. That's Linux. That's why you don't have year of the Linux desktop. That's why it's modular nature is perfect for other applications, but not a lot of desktop uses. People on /g/ think they represent a majority of desktop users when they sit with irssi and a tiling window manager and say that Linux is a suitable desktop OS. Yes, for you, for me, for a lot of /g/, but not for everyone else. Sorry, kid.

Explain without saying "it's because it added more features that made it more intuitive in some areas"

Else you might as well leave "POWER USERS SUCK ASS" on your tombstone since that's the philosophy you're living by.

The reason people don't specify which emacs they're using and just say "emacs" is because emacs is still emacs. At it's soul it's still emacs it's still something consistent throughout all versions you can criticize and say it's shit. Else you might as well say painting a piece of poop gold makes it just a part of the poop family and that you shouldn't just call it another piece of poop (in order to save confusion).

Nah man, that's not just shit at being a game, it's outright shit software. The release sold on store shelves, on pressed CDs, is pretty clearly a pre-alpha. Menus are static images. Selecting one track crashes the "game". There is no collision detection or even bounds detection. Bridges do not work as you'd expect. It's a race but the opponent never moves.

I think it's shit for 3 main reasons:

1) The amount of bugs that are still in it. The official release was like 9 months ago, and things like "something happened" are still common.

2) Lack of control. It's my machine, I should be able to decide what programs or apps I want or dont want on it, and I shold be able to choose which, if any, updates to install.

3)Excessive forced telemetry. I don't care what info they are trying to collect, it should be my choice whether I send it to them or not, as again, it's my machine, not theirs.
