I used Macs for 5 years at a multimedia production company. Macs and by extension OSX are complete utter shit. Constant daily crashes, people losing work, beachballs of death, etc. The only people who didn't have any problems with their Mac were the same ones who never had any problems with their PCs, i.e. Reception and Sales who used their computers for email and internet and nothing more.
Apple is a fucking joke, and the only reason they have any marketshare is aging 80's hippies who bought into the "max r fur publishin" meme and are now cluelessly trying to manage IT when Windows and even Linux tools have completely surpassed OSX in usability, stability, and speed.

I've tried MacOS, it was OK, not great, but definitely more intuitive. iOS was the worst experience, and I would never use it. Even after I tried it with a jailbreak, it felt un-intuitive, and unnecessarily restricting.

I switched to a Surface Pro 3 from a retina 13" macbook pro and haven't been happier.

In defense of Macs I've had the opportunity of using one of the early Macintosh (I think with 1MB ram option). It was surprisingly useful for such a simple machine, and responsive too.

Everyone I know who uses mac is either a girl or installed a different OS on it. Even they complain about how it randomly shuts down and they keep losing data and shit.
As for me I had one of those expensive iMacs at work, and I fucking hated it. Samba was buggy so svn took years, and the HDD got fried like every 3 months. You can't even do the most basic customization on the system, like placing the task bar on the top of the screen.
