I love "phablets" because I can actually read text on them without squinting and because desktop websites are usable on their displays. The S-Pen is also awesome when working in a job where I have to take a ton of quick, short notes. I have no problem using it one-handed, either, and I have relatively small hands. I'm 6'1" and I can grab a basketball and hold it horizontally with one hand. I wouldn't accept anything under 5" anymore and I'm considering upgrading to 6" phones. The size is not an issue during moving with the phone in my pocket since my pockets are normal and not girly tight jeans.
No matter the size I still won't be holding my phone with only one hand. That is slower and uncomfortable and even a slightest bump can throw it off your hand, since you have to lift your thumb off it constantly when using it. Typing anything becomes almost painful if you need to do it with one thumb only.
I think there should be options in screen sizes, not every hobbit should be forced to use big screens if they can't handle them. But I won't accept that everyone should be forced to use tiny phones either just because some people have growth defects.
